Aircraft Maintenance Engineering course or AME is one of the highly rewarding technical courses with immense job opportunities for 10+2 science students leading to issue of license from Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Govt. of India for maintaining aeroplanes as Aircraft Maintenance Engineer. One must be 10+2 (PCM) to be eligible for three-year AME course approved by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, Govt. of India, New Delhi. Once eligible, he/she is required to pass the All India Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Examination (AIAMEE). To further obtain an Aircraft Maintenance Engineering license after the completion of Aircraft Maintenance Engineering course, he/she is required to pass the A.M.E. license examination in theory and practical cum oral test conducted by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, Govt. of India New Delhi, thrice in a year in February, June, and October. If a person possessing a degree in any branch of Aeronautical Engineering desires to become an AME, he / she should have AME license issued by DGCA ( Govt. of India ) for which he/she has to acquire practical work experience as stipulated in Civil Aviation Requirements and pass the AME license papers conducted by DGCA.
